Tito Puente - Last Concert: Live In New York

This collector's edition DVD is the last live performance of Tito Puente, known as "El Rey del Timbal." Filmed at the Manhattan Center in New York City on April 19th 2000, just weeks before Puente's death on May 31, it defines latin music with its unparalleled visuals and sounds. This concert was celebrating Puente's 77th birthday and originally aired on Showtime.

Appearances by Jose "El Canario" Alberto, Tony Vega, Milly Quezada, Tony Swing, Sergio Vargas and the Eddie Torres dancers create one magnificent salsa showcase.

Proceeds from the DVD sales will benefit The Hispanic Heritage Foundation's youth programs. HHF has honored Puente with its prestigious Hispanic Heritage Award for the Performing Arts in 1994.
